Garry Ezzo says "the primary consideration in early parenting is the child's heart and not simply outward behaviour. There is something about the human heart that requires attention, and that is the focus of early training. We know that the heart is the centre of all life and behaviour" (AVW Manual 2002, p. 17).
So what are your thoughts on training your child's heart?

I reckon the idea of training ht eheart is awesome because it's all about getting the stuff deep inside the child so that when the time comes that can make a good decision for themselves. They have a foundation, something to work from.
What do you mean by 'training the heart'?
I think 'training the heart' is an expression used to identify something that's deeper that just training for skills or head knowledge. About giving children a moral foundation with which to learn and grow from. Something that influences the 'way' they make choices.
